This salad is delicious! I adapted this recipe from Trim Healthy Mama.
Trim Mac Salad
Trim Healthy Mama
Ingredients
- 2-2½ lbs ground beef, made into patties
- ½ cup water, beef broth
- 1½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 large onion, finely diced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3-4 large heads of crisp romaine lettuce, roughly chopped
- 3-4 ripe tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
- 3-4 dill pickles, chopped, or ⅓ cup dill relish
- Thousand Island dressing
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook the beef patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat, about 10 minutes, then pour off any excess fat. Break apart patties into bite size pieces. Add the water, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt and pepper.
- In a separate smaller skillet, saute the onion in the butter until translucent.
- Assemble all ingredients and enjoy!
