Tomorrow is the longest day of the year. Great. They only get shorter from here. But there is something special going on in Boise. It’s called the longest ride.

Some individuals are riding for 16 hours, covering an average of 160 miles during the entire time the sun is up. Some are doing morning and night sessions of four hours each, totalling 8 hours of riding and 80 miles. Due to circumstances, I will only be able to do 4 hours in the morning, from 5:30-9:30 a.m. Check out the ride page on Facebook or at BikeReg.

I’ll be riding for two reasons. One is to bring my total miles for the Great Cycle Challenge up, since I am a little behind my goals. The second is that the Longest Ride is for a good cause: it benefits Alzheimer’s research.

But I need your help. I need some motivation, and I am so close to my fundraising goals with the Great Cycle Challenge that just a few donations would put me over the top.

So today’s the day. Donate, and remember I will match half of your donation. Help me reach my goal of $500 and at the same time help me support the fight against Alzheimer’s and Kid’s Cancer.
