HBO’s flagship series, Game of Thrones has no doubt been the biggest show of the 2010’s. For those of us who cannot get enough of Game Of Thrones, there is also a live concert. The live concert features Ramin Djawadi, the German composer behind the music in Westworld, Pacific Rim, and Warcraft. Music fans should make it a priority to see Westworld. Djawadi’s original score is sprinkled with reimagined hits that not only feel nostalgic but perfect the scenes they are featured in.
Tickets were not too expensive. I’ve spent more on Lady Gaga or Rammstein, both incredible shows worth every penny. The Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience comes to the Key Arena March 31st. With my middle-range tickets purchased, I’m not entirely sure what to expect.
The trailer makes this concert appear to be a mash-up between a Symphony and the Tournament of Kings show in Las Vegas. I am mildly concerned that a man in full plated armor will come jousting across the stage. It’s not that I dislike Renaissance fairs, I attend them every year, but I hope this has more of an Electric Light Orchestra approach.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO for its 7th season July 17th.
