This June, I will be taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge, and riding my bike for a great cause. I’ll be riding to fight kid’s cancer. I tried to do the same last year, but my efforts were hampered by the fact that I was a newlywed busy with family and I was recovering from a torn calf muscle.

I have no such excuses this year. So, I want to invite you to do something for me. First, I want to invite you to join me. If you are a cyclist, you should clock your miles this June and ride to help prevent kid’s cancer. You can even clock your miles indoors if the weather is bad or you need to travel. You can connect your Strava or Map My Ride app to your ride page. No need for extra steps to log miles.

Even if you don’t ride, I want you to do something else: I want you to support me or someone else you know who is riding this year. I’ll even make you a deal.

Unbound Northwest will match half of what you pledge toward the Great Cycle Challenge. Just donate on my page, and we’ll take care of the rest. Be generous.

Maybe like me, you are lucky enough that none of your kids dealt with cancer and had to overcome it. But if you know someone, anyone who has dealt with this issue, you know it tears you apart.

One way or another, join me this June in fighting kid’s cancer. I’m going to ride and donate. What will you do?
